Hi all,
Apologies for the lack of blogging, I am terrible at keeping up to date with these things.
With my debut novel, Welcome to Denver Falls, now available (see link below), I thought we could have a bit of fun by doing an interview with my protagonist.
So... who is Harper Andrews?
Let's find out.
What is your full name?
Harper Andrews.
Where and when were you born?
Ever North City.
Who are/were your parents? (Their names, birthplaces, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Next question…
Do you have any siblings? If you do, what are/were they like?
I have two adoptive siblings. My sister, Taylor, and my brother, Mike. Taylor’s cool, we’re the best of friends.
Mike? Well, he’s… Mike.
What is your occupation?
I’m a photography student an ENU. It’s a pretty good school.
Are you right or left-handed?
I’m right-handed… What did you say these questions were for again?
What does your voice sound like?
Apparently, Chloe Grace Moretz… That chick from the Carrie remake, which was sick by the way.
On what occasions do you lie?
Only during interviews…
Do you have any annoying habits, quirks, strange mannerisms, or other defining characteristics?
I take photos. A lot.
What kind of distinguishing facial features do you have?
Um… I got told I look like Emily Browning once, that was kinda cool.
Are you optimistic or pessimistic?
I’m pretty pessimistic…
What is your greatest fear?
I hate water… It’s just…
What are your religious views?
Well, I like to think there’s something out there… Who knows, maybe…
What are your political views?
Obama was a cool guy.
What are your views on sex?
Um, I don’t, I mean, can we… next.
Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
“Soul mates”? Please…
In your opinion, what is the evillest thing any human being could do?
Take someone’s life.
Are you able to kill?
Wow. Um, I really don’t think I could.
What do you measure success in?
Friendship.
How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings in the company of others?
I hide the truth sometimes but only if I know it will hurt someone. What do you have in your pockets or purse?
Let’s see… Ok, so there’s my camera, notebook, some gum… Want some? Sure? Then there’s… uh, just girl stuff.
What is on your nightstand?
Right now? This amazing book called Pilgrimage by the photographer, Annie Leibovitz. Her shots are just… beyond.
So there you have it, folks. A budding young photography student who values friendship above everything... but what about her parents?... and why is she so afraid of water?...
